Q1. Are you open to the public?

A1. Yes we are normally open to the public Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm (4 pm from October to March). We are not normally open on Saturdays as we have stalls at four local farmers’ markets. We are normally open on a Sunday during the peak season but please telephone before traveling any significant distance. Other times are also possible if mutually convenient.

Q3. Do the prices quoted include VAT?

A3. As our turnover is below the VAT threshold, no additional VAT is payable. Therefore the price you see will be the price you pay plus any charges for post and packing.

Q4. Do you give trade discount or discount for bulk purchases?

A4. In appropriate cases we will be pleased to allow trade discount and discount for bulk purchases. The amount of discount depends very much on the size of the order. Our multi purpose compost, for example, allows a discount on an order as small as 3 sacks. Minimum order value for trade discount on plants is £75.00 but we do offer a range of plants in 8cm/9cm pots for potting on and the minimum order here is just one tray (20 plants). Please go to our Trade and wholesale page for further details.

Q5. How can I pay for items purchased?

A5. At the nursery we will be pleased to accept cash or cheques, (supported by a valid cheque guarantee card). Mail order items must be paid for in advance by cheque and would normally be dispatched within five working days of receiving your order. Items that we deliver personally will be c.o.d. We regret that we are unable to accept credit or debit cards.
