We now have a stall at two local farmers’ markets. The
markets provide the opportunity for the customer to buy direct from the
producer thereby cutting costs, ensuring best quality and discussing any issues
relevant to growing that particular product. All markets have stalls selling
homegrown produce that includes meat, poultry, eggs, fruit and vegetables,
baked products and fruit juice. A number of craft stalls are also present. Only
those items that have specifically been grown or produced by the stallholder
may be sold.
Watton Market, winner of the 2004 and 2006 Eastern Daily Press award for best Farmers Market in the region, is held on the first Saturday of each month in the High Street from 8.30am to 12.30am.
